Returns, Refunds & Delivery

This policy applies to products purchased through our online shop (parts, accessories, apparel and riding gear). It does not apply to motorcycle sales, which are concluded in person at our dealership. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).

Delivery

We deliver throughout South Africa. Once your order is placed and payment is confirmed, Ducati Claremont processes your order and arranges courier delivery. Orders are typically dispatched within 1–3 business days; delivery timeframes thereafter depend on your location.

  • —Delivery fees are shown or quoted before you confirm and pay for your order.
  • —Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; ownership passes once payment has cleared in full.
  • —Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address — we are not liable for delays caused by incorrect details.
  • —Someone must be available at the delivery address to receive and sign for the parcel.

Cooling-Off Period (Online Orders)

In terms of section 44 of ECTA, you may cancel an online order within 7 (seven) calendar days of receiving the goods, without reason or penalty. To do so, contact us within that period and return the goods unused, in their original condition and packaging. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods. We will refund the purchase price within 30 (thirty) days of cancellation.

The cooling-off right does not apply to certain goods, including items made or personalised to your specification, and goods that cannot be returned for health, hygiene or safety reasons once unsealed or used (see “Items That Cannot Be Returned” below).

Faulty, Defective or Incorrect Goods

Under section 56 of the CPA, if goods are defective, unsafe, or not as described, you may return them within 6 (six) months of delivery for a repair, replacement or refund — your choice — at no charge to you. If we sent the wrong item, we will correct it at our cost.

  • —Please report any fault as soon as reasonably possible after you discover it.
  • —We may inspect returned goods to confirm the defect before processing your return.
  • —This does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, unauthorised modification, or normal wear and tear.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

Unless they are faulty, the following cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • —Safety-critical gear (e.g. helmets) once worn, or with seals or tags removed, for health and safety reasons.
  • —Special-order, custom or personalised items.
  • —Electrical components and parts once fitted or installed.
  • —Gift cards and promotional items.

How to Return an Item

To arrange a return, email info@ducaticlaremont.co.za or call +27 21 671 4321 with your order number and the reason for the return. Goods must be returned unused, in their original condition and packaging, together with proof of purchase. We will confirm the return method and address with you.

Refunds

Approved refunds are made to your original payment method, typically within 7–14 business days after we receive and inspect the returned goods, and in any event within 30 days. Original delivery charges are non-refundable except where the return is due to our error or a defective product.
